Privacy policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This policy explains what the Fullset app ("Fullset", "we") collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@thefullsetapp.com.

The short version

  • Fullset works on your phone first. Without an account, your logbook stays on your phone.
  • We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites. Fullset doesn't use the advertising ID.
  • Your workouts, food, body measurements and anything you type never go into crash reports or usage statistics.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we keep your email only to send you one message when Fullset is public, then delete it.

What stays on your phone

Your logbook (workouts, sets, your plan, body weight, food log, recipes, supplements, water and goals) and your settings are stored on your phone. Fullset works fully without an account and without a signal. Form photos you add stay on your phone.

What we collect, and why

  • Account (optional): your email address, when you create an account with email and a password, Sign in with Apple (which can be a private relay address) or Google. We use it to sign you in and to back up your logbook.
  • Cloud backup (only with an account): your logbook and settings are copied to our backend (Google Firebase, United States) so they come back on a new phone. Sync runs only while you're signed in.
  • Purchases: whether you have Fullset Pro. Apple handles the payment and our subscription service, RevenueCat, tells the app your status. With an account, RevenueCat links it to your account's random ID, never your email. We never see your payment details.
  • Crash reports: when the app crashes or an action fails, a report with technical details (device model, iOS version, app version, the screen and action, and the names of the last screens you opened). It's tied to a random install ID, not your account or email, and never contains your logbook, health or food data, or anything you typed. You can turn it off: Settings → Share crash reports.
  • Usage statistics: which screens you open, how long you stay, which main buttons you tap, and steps like your first workout or first meal, to see what's confusing and what to improve. Collected with Google Analytics for Firebase under a random install ID, never your account or email, with the advertising ID and ad personalization off. They never include health, body or nutrition values, food names or text you type. You can turn it off: Settings → Share usage data.
  • Barcode lookups: when you scan a barcode Fullset doesn't know yet, it sends only that barcode to Open Food Facts, a public food database, to find the product.
  • Feedback: Settings → Send feedback opens an email to us in your mail app, with the app version and your device model. Nothing is sent until you send that email.

Food search uses a food list built into the app, so your searches don't leave your phone. A nutrition-label photo is read on your phone and then deleted; it's never uploaded.

Apple Health

If you allow it, Fullset reads your body weight from Apple Health and writes your finished workouts to it. Health data is used only to show your progress in Fullset. It is never used for advertising or data mining, never sold, and never shared with third parties except as needed to provide the app (for example, our cloud backup). You can turn access off in the Health app at any time.

Who processes data for us

  • Google Firebase: accounts, cloud backup and usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase).
  • Sentry: crash and error reports.
  • RevenueCat: subscription status.
  • Open Food Facts: barcode lookups (only the barcode).
  • Apple: purchases, Sign in with Apple, Apple Health.
  • Google: Google sign-in, if you use it.

Each processes data only to provide its part of the service.

How long we keep it

We keep your cloud backup while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete its data from our cloud backup within 30 days, including backups. Crash reports and usage statistics are kept for up to 90 days and 14 months respectively, then deleted.

Your choices and rights

  • Use Fullset without an account. Then only crash reports and usage statistics leave your phone, and you can turn both off in Settings.
  • Export your workouts and weigh-ins at any time: Me → Settings → Export workouts (CSV).
  • Delete your account in the app: Me → Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your account and its cloud backup, and clears the logbook on your phone.
  • Delete only your workouts: Me → Settings → Data → Delete all workout data.
  • Turn off Apple Health, camera or photo access in iOS Settings.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it: support@thefullsetapp.com.

Children

Fullset isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
